Clem and Simms….
So where our name came from, here’s the story: Clem was my late grandpa who was a milkman, and carpenter by trade. I remember visiting him as a kid and going into his garage to see and smell the mountains of sawdust everywhere and admiring his tools and projects everywhere. He built us so many amazing things growing up and was a fantastic carpenter. Simms is my nickname, so for whoever knows me, knows me as Simms and has stuck with me for almost 30 years. I took up carpentry about 5 years ago and started building different types of projects. Always being a DIY guy growing up taking on any repair or transition around the house I turned to woodworking and instantly found a love for it. So the name came together with a chance to give back to my late grandpa and say thank you for giving me the genes and natural ability to become good at this wonderful craft. After 5 years my cedar raised garden planters are one of the best out there leading me into so many other projects. Growing desires, passions and having great interactions with my customers I came up with the idea for my cedar sawdust fire starters. Living up at the Lake and around campfires in the summers in Saskatchewan is a tradition for so many, is where the idea came to me. All natural cedar sawdust and wax, these fire starters work great and take the difficulties of starting fires in sometimes extreme conditions easy. They work great and are a must on any campsite or backyard. Thank you,
