Website is common-sense, shipping on time. Packaging very interesting, compact. Now we’re waiting for a day cool enough to make us want to use the fireplace. These fire starters will be light and compact for camping, should this awful wildfire season end so we can have a campfire. Like the chemical-free ingredients.

These smell so clean when they burn. I love them. No chemicals in them so there's no chemical smell. I love how they fit perfectly in the Clem & Simms tin, so clever! They start so fast and burn so long, everyone should be using them.

I use this kit when I’m looking for a wee bit of meditation practice time. The stove is so perfectly made, and the slate that it sits on adds a nice bit of security. The wonderful smell that emanates from the fire block is soothing, burns clean and is quite pleasant to watch. What a lovely gift to share with friends and colleagues! Thanks for making this.

I absolutely love Clem & Simms cedar sawdust fire starters. When my order arrived, I was a bit surprised at how small they were, but oh do they ever work! It takes me no time to light the fire in my wood stove and the smell of cedar is amazing. Thank you, Clem &Simms for coming up with this idea and making it available online.

Just got my fire starter a few days ago, every fire since has been a 1 match start. Will be buying more.

I am so impressed with these fire starters. I used one to start my wood stove. Normally I use birch bark but decided to give this a try. I set up pieces of dry wood. No kindling! I lit the brick and set it between the wood. Voila! It burned much longer than 10 minutes and my fire was started. I will only need these for the spring and fall when I am not burning constantly. I won’t have the mess now of keeping birch bark on hand. I highly recommend these!
