These smell so clean when they burn. I love them. No chemicals in them so there's no chemical smell. I love how they fit perfectly in the Clem & Simms tin, so clever! They start so fast and burn so long, everyone should be using them.
I use this kit when I’m looking for a wee bit of meditation practice time. The stove is so perfectly made, and the slate that it sits on adds a nice bit of security. Just got my fire starter a few days ago, every fire since has been a 1 match start. Will be buying more.
I am so impressed with these fire starters. I used one to start my wood stove. Normally I use birch bark but decided to give this a try. I set up pieces of dry wood. No kindling! I lit the brick and set it between the wood. Voila! It burned much longer than 10 minutes and my fire was started. I will only need these for the spring and fall when I am not burning constantly. I won’t have the mess now of keeping birch bark on hand. I highly recommend these!
